Palmdale Regional Medical Center Earns Three-Year CARF Accreditation
Palmdale Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce that The Rehabilitation Institute at Palmdale Regional Medical Center has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) International for a period of three years for its Inpatient Rehabilitation Programs – Hospital (Adults). This is the first accreditation that the international accrediting body, CARF, has given to Palmdale Regional Medical Center.
This accreditation represents the highest level that can be given to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. It has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.
"We continue to pursue the highest in quality clinical services for Palmdale Regional Medical Center and this CARF accreditation is a great demonstration of the culmination of our efforts,” said Nana Deeb, Chief Executive Officer at Palmdale Regional Medical Center. “We are committed to providing innovative services and best practices to the community. This accreditation process brought together a partnership between our hospital team members and our physicians that provided a vital quality accreditation in inpatient rehabilitation services within the Antelope Valley.”
“I am so very proud of our team that worked tirelessly to obtain this goal. This distinction is a reflection of our capabilities and vision to be the best we can be as a Rehabilitation program,” said Thomas Nasser, DO, FAAPMR, Medical Director of The Rehabilitation Institute at Palmdale Regional Medical Center. “The mission now is to take our enthusiasm and use it to sustain the delivery of the highest level of quality care to the Antelope Valley community and surrounding areas.”
Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services
CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process and continuous improvement services that center on enhancing the lives of the persons served. Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, and now known as CARF International, the accrediting body establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.
“We are very proud of this designation by CARF,” says Veronica Gadomski, Administrator, Therapy Services. “Our entire team at The Rehabilitation Institute worked hard to make this accreditation possible and we look forward to continuing to offer the highest quality acute rehabilitation services to the Antelope Valley and our surrounding communities!”
