Palmdale Regional Recognized for Dedication to Improving Patient Care

Members of the Palmdale Regional nursing and quality teams

The Collaborative Alliance for Nursing Outcomes (CALNOC), the nation’s first nursing quality indicators database, announced the Performance Excellence Award Winning Hospitals for excellent performance in the reduction of hospital acquired pressure ulcers, injuries from falls and infections. Palmdale Regional has been recognized for Best Performance in Preventing Injury Falls (all four quarters 2017) and Best Performance in Preventing Hospital Acquired Infections – MRSA Total Facility

Each year, CALNOC enjoys recognizing these hard-working hospitals and their dedication to improving patient care. “We congratulate the Performance Excellence Winners and greatly appreciate their commitment to improving healthcare," says Tony Sung, CEO, CALNOC. "We know the future of healthcare will change, it’s inevitable and it’s necessary, but there are two things that will never change: patient safety/quality care and the profound impact of nursing."

The CALNOC Performance Excellence Winners have demonstrated the value and reward that comes with improving patient safety and quality. They have led the way to exhibit strong leadership qualities and cultivate a culture of excellence.

"I am extremely proud of Palmdale Regional’s dedicated and professional staff for helping the hospital receive this award," says Richard Allen, CEO, Palmdale Regional Medical Center. "It shows that our staff takes their role in patient safety and quality care seriously. I thank them for their hard work and commitment to serving our patients and their families.”
