Comprehensive Treatment Program for Management of Lymphedema
Lymphedema is a chronic, progressive medical condition. It is caused by a malformation or disruption of the lymphatic system, resulting in an abnormal and excessive accumulation of protein-rich fluid in the limbs, torso or other areas of the body.
The certified therapists at the Rehabilitation and Orthopedic Institute (ROI) at Palmdale Regional Medical Center have completed rigorous training to meet national standards of excellence in the management of lymphedema.
We offer a wide range of services, including:
- Complete decongestive therapy (CDT) that includes manual lymph drainage, compressive therapy, skin care and exercises
- Prevention education to reduce the risk of loss of mobility and function
- Skin care education to reduce the risk of skin infections
- Individualized home programs, including self-massage, self-bandaging and home therapeutic exercises

Meet the Specialist
Brandon Meister, DPT, has completed the Complete Decongestive Therapy certification course through the Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy, earning the title of Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT). The Norton School provides rigorous training in the Foeldi Method of Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), the therapeutic system regarded as the "Gold Standard" for the treatment of lymphedema by the International Society of Lymphology (ISL).
